Nand Lal Noorpuri (1906-1966) was born in the Noorpur village of Layallpur district of Punjab (now Pakistan). His father was Bishan Singh and mother Hukman Devi. He wrote lyrics for many films including Mangti. He committed suicide on May 13, 1966 due to ill health and financial problems. Every notable singer has sung his songs. His books include Vangan, Changiare, Noor Parian, Jiunda Punjab, Sugat and Noorpuri De Geet.
نند لال نورپری (1906-1966) جنم پنڈ نورپور ضلع لائلپر (ہن پاکستان) وچ سردار بشن سنگھ اتے ماتا حکماں دیوی دے گھر ہویا ۔ دسویں تکّ دی سکھیا خالصہ ہائی سکول لائلپر چوں پراپت کیتی۔ آپ نے فلم منگتی دی کہانی، اس دے وارتالاپ اتے اس فلم لئی گیت لکھے۔ کجھ سمیں لئی کولمبیا فلم کمپنی لئی گیت لکھدے رہے۔صحتَ دی خرابی اتے آرتھک مندحالی توں تنگ آ کے اوہناں نے 15 مئی 1966 نوں کھوہ وچ چھال مار کے جان دے دتی ۔آپ دیاں رچناواں ہن : ونگاں، جیؤندا پنجاب، نور پریاں، چنگیاڑے، نورپری دے گیت اتے سوغات ۔ سارے نامور گائکاں نے اوہناں دے گیت گائے ہن ۔
